Do Men Really Think About Sex More Than Women?

Studies have shown that while a man will think about sex every 52 seconds, the subject tends to cross women's minds just once a day.

Sever studies have found that men and women are completely different when it comes to sex. Thoughts about sex enter a woman's brain once every couple of days but enter a man's brain about once every minute.

Doctor says, the areas responsible for sexual thoughts is twice as big as in men than in women, perhaps explaining why men are stereotyped as having sex on the mind.

It's fairly well accepted that men are more focused on sexual intercourse and other types of genital stimulation, says doctor. Women on the other hand are more likely to enjoy 'the precursors to sexual intercourse' and while they also enjoy sex, it's usually better for them if they're feeling connected to their partner.

Other studies have previously claimed to uphold the commonly-held belief that young men have only one thing on their minds - sex.

Sex chip' being developed by scientists

Scientists are developing an electronic "sex chip" that can be implanted into the brain to stimulate pleasure. The chip works by sending tiny shocks from implanted electrodes in the brain.

The implanted chip, which stimulates the brain's pleasure points, has already been used in the United States to treat Parkinson's disease and, in England, is now being studied as a potential treatment for anhedonia, a disorder that blocks pleasurable sensations like those in sex and eating.

"There is evidence that this chip will work," he said. "A few years ago, a scientist implanted such a device into the brain of a woman with a low sex drive and turned her into a very sexually active woman. She didn't like the sudden change, so the wiring in her head was removed."

How to do the wiring remains a hurdle. Aziz says current technology, which requires surgery to connect a wire from a heart pacemaker into the brain, causes bleeding in some patients and is "intrusive and crude"

Alocohol improves men's sexual performance

You may not believe it but alcohol improves, not damages, men's sexual performance, new research shows. Until now, it has been widely believed alcohol consumption could cause erectile dysfunction.

Researchers told, compared to those who have never touched alcohol, many people do benefit from some alcohol, including some people who drink outside the guidelines. After studying the habits of 1580 Australian men, it was found that men who drank within recommended guidelines had 30% fewer problems during sex than teetotalers.

Even binge drinkers had lower rates of erectile dysfunction than those who never drank, although this type of drinking can cause other health problems.

The latest finding should prevent them compounding the problem by feeling "guilty and stressed'' about present or past drinking, doctor said.

Teens skipping breakfast tend to have sex at an earlier age

Teens who skip breakfast as middle school students tend to have sex at an earlier age than those who start the day with a proper meal.

A recent Japanese poll of around 1,500 people has shown that those who skipped breakfast in their early teens first had sexual intercourse at an average age of 17.5 years, earlier than 19.4 for those who had breakfast every day.

Those who said they do not have happy memories of family life or those who expressed feelings of hatred toward their mothers also had a tendency to first have sexual intercourse early, the poll suggested.

Those who said they dislike their mothers first had intercourse at an average age of 16, compared with 18.6 for those who appreciated their mothers.

The result suggests that the family plays a major role for teens sexual activities. Before blaming individuals for having sex at an early age, it may be necessary to look into the sort of homes they are from.

Sneezing could mean you are thinking about sex

The next time if you see someone sneezing infront of you it could mean more than the chance that they've got a cold, they may have hot thoughts for you. Researchers say uncontrolled sneezing can be triggered by erotic thoughts.

Two UK doctors have found evidence that sneezing may give a lot more than the fact that you've got a cold, it could mean you're thinking about sex. They say it is due to a faulty connection in the autonomic nervous system – the system that exercises unconscious control of, among other things, heart rate, digestion and pupil dilation.

Both men and women are susceptible to the problem, which may be inherited and it is thought to be closely linked to the way sunlight can make someone sneeze.

The news could lead to raise eyebrows when someone sneezes in the crowd.

So does sex, or even just thinking about sex, make you sneeze?
