Teacher beats pupil to death for not doing math homework



An eleven year old boy in Alexandria, Egypt had not finished his homework. After using a ruler to punish him, the teacher is alleged to have taken the young boy outside the classroom and hit him violently in his stomach.

The young pupil fainted and later died in hospital of heart failure.

The teacher have told the prosecutor that he was only trying to "discipline the boy, not to kill him". Egyptian court has sentenced a teacher to six years in jail.

Corporal punishment is common practices in schools. The death of this child in Egypt should serve as a huge wake up call to educators world wide. Corporal punishment to children should be banned in all schools in every nation.

Old Man Shot at Rappers Thinking They Insulted Him in the Song



A Senegalese old man, who is 70, opened fire on a rap group because he felt the young rappers were insulting him with the song called “Angry Old Man.”

The old man thought that rappers were singing the song “Vieux Colereux” (Angry Old Men) about him and demanded them to stop. When they ignored him, he shot into the crowd four times with his rifle.

The four band members were shot, along with a female fan attending the concert. They were taken to the hospital to be treated.

Son killed mother and shot father because they took Halo 3 video game



Son was so angry that he killed his mother and shot father because they would not let him play the violent video game Halo 3.

American teenager, Daniel Petric was 16 at the time of murder. He shot both his mother and father then attempted to make it look like a murder-suicide after being denied to play 'M' rated Halo 3 videogame.

Daniel Petric became angry because his parents would not let him play Halo 3 on his Xbox 360. After the argument, he secretly purchased the game but was caught by his father. Elder Petric place the game inside of a lock box right next to his 9mm pistol. His son somehow got into the box and took the gun and the game after which he killed his mother with a gunshot to the head. His father, who survived was also shot in the head.

Petrick attempted to make the attack look like a murder-suicide by placing the murder weapon into his father's hand.

Daniel Petric is currently on trial in Ohio for his parents' shooting.

Mother ‘accidentally’ flushed down baby



A 32 year old woman told a British court she accidentally flushed her newborn down the toilet because she didn't realize she was giving birth.

Claire Jones became pregnant after an affair with a work colleague Marcus Bezerra but hid her condition from friends and family, including her long-term partner, David Stoneman. She said she knew she was pregnant but thought the pain she suffered in the early hours of December 28 from last year was from diarrhoea.

She told that she only realized what had happened when she saw a foot in the toilet bowl. She pulled the baby out and put on her lap. He wasn't breathing. She said she tried to revive him by blowing into his mouth and massaging his heart.

She was given a suspended sentence for concealing the baby's birth. The court is investigating the circumstances of the baby’s death.

Cell phone saves man from bullet


R.J. Richard says his cell phone saved his life.The 68-year-old man, from Covington, La., was mowing the lawn on his 5-acre property when a stray bullet hit on his chest. He initially thought a rock kicked up by his tractor hit him. The phone fell apart when he pulled it out of the chest pocket

Richard says he's sure God told him to put the phone there rather than a pants pocket as usual.

Doctors told Richard the bullet came at an angle, which along with the cell phone probably prevented serious injury.

Richard figures the bullet was fired by a hunter in woods near his 5-acre property.

Mystery "Buddha boy" returns to jungle to meditate


A teenage Nepali boy believed by followers to be a reincarnation of Buddha has returned to Nepal's jungles to meditate alone. Ram Bahadur Bamjan, 18, reappeared on Nov. 10 after several months of meditation to bless thousands of his followers.

Bamjan made his last appearance on Friday and then returned to the jungle to meditate. This is the third time Bamjan has disappeared since his first appearance three years ago.

For the last 10 days, he has been blessing thousands of devotees who came daily to the site in the remote forest of Ratanpuri.

He gave a 25 minute religious discourse to more than 7,000 people on Friday then went into an underground site for meditation.
